Registration Closes with Record Entries

Golf Channel Am Tour Staff, Orlando, FL (September 9 2011)   Over 1,000 Golf Channel Am Tour players from across the country and Canada entered the 2011 National and Senior National Championship events  to be contested between September 17th-27^th at PGA West in La Quinta, CA.

Twenty-six former national champions will tee it up with both our youngest and most senior champions:  National Champion twelve year old from Palm Desert, CA Charlie Reiter and seventy nine year old member Joe Strong from Wildomar, CA.

Registered Am Tour members from 45 states, British Columbia and Ontario, Canada met qualification and eligibility requirements and will take on the four courses over the 72 hole event to crown the best of the best.  In addition to the grueling 4 days of tournament play, members and guests will be greeted to a welcome dinner hosted by Golf Channel talent along with nightly scoring events at the La Quinta Resort & Club.

Tours from Hawaii to Massachusetts, Puerto Rico to Washington will be represented when play kicks off on September 17^th with the Senior National Championship.
